Dear Aoife...

Our Darling daughter Aoife,

I was supposed to write this entry about a month ago now, but it's been a tough and busy month. But it's better late than never 😊

You are now two years old. Wow. The best two years of mine & daddy's life. Two years of pure happiness, laughter and love. Two years of non stop sunshine. There's something about you that just brightens up people's days. Like magic, really.
You had a brilliant birthday. You asked for a "bouncy ca-ca" (bouncy castle), which you got! And your party was Toy Story theme as Toy Story has been one of your favourite films this year! Woody was your favourite, but now it's Buzz! Your whole family and friends were there to celebrate with you, except one special lady "more nanny" who was poorly in hospital at the time. But she gave you her presents a week early anyway! Your day was perfect, just like you.
You speak so beautifully, and have the most angelic, perfect little voice I have ever heard. You answer questions with "No mummy" or "yes, mummy" or whoever's name that asks you. All of a sudden it felt like you could talk in sentences! You are very bossy, and like to tell people off! You point your finger and shout "Anni-Anni-Anni" (I'm not too sure what that means though). You love your baby "buvva" in mummy's tummy, and sing him a song you have made up by yourself. You love cars, and "choo choo's". You like to hide your cars down the side of the sofa! You love jumping in puddles. And you hate it when your hair gets wet outside. You like to tell us when it's "raining". You tell us when it's dark outside by saying "Nuh-nights" and then wanting your "milky" to go to sleep with. You tell us that you are "go-go daddy's work day" (got to go daddy's work today), and you like you to wear your uniform now that you have started pre-school at daddy's work. You can tell when were our home, nannys home, more nannys home, daddy's work, and most familiar places. You love your cousins "ky-ka, abam, baby cohl". You love throwing stones in water. You love to "shave" like daddy. You know how old you are, and you always remember what you did for your birthday too. You love lions, elephants, giraffes, snakes. You don't like cats. You love fair rides. You love your Wellington boots. Your favourite colour is blue at the moment. You learnt to toilet train yourself, and told mummy you needed a wee one afternoon and from that day you have been dry since. You love money. And holding bags. You love to help pack the food shopping. You call all food "yummy" apart from "abba" (Apple). You like to do "daning" (dancing). When we tell you, you are beautiful, you say "no mummy, I cheeky ee-ee-aa-aa" (I'm a cheeky monkey).

You had to say goodbye to "more nanny". And when she was in the chapel of rest you said "Nuh-night nanny". To you, she is sleeping at the moment. You were ever so well behaved. And I couldn't of been more proud of you.
Before "more nanny" went to "Nuh-nights", all she did was speak about you, and how beautiful you are. And that how you are someone truly special, and there is something so wonderful about you. She loved it when you wore your hair in a pony tail. And she always said you were the most beautiful little girl she had ever seen. She loved buying you clothes. And she loved you coming over to visit. I'm so glad you both got to meet each other, and I will never let you forget her. I love how when I show you pictures, you know her name. I know she will always be watching over you. She loves you just as much as we all do.

Last but not least, I want to thank you for giving me the strength and hope to get through this horrible time. Your smile lights up my world. Your smile makes me smile and your laughter warms up my heart. You are so clever, and so extremely beautiful that my heart feels like it's going to burst sometimes. And thank you for showing me, that whatever happens, with you I can get through absolutely anything. Thank you for just coming over to hug me when you see me sad. Thank you for just wanting to hold my hand whilst laying on the sofa. Thank you for randomly saying "la-you mummy" (love you mummy). You always seem to know how to make me better.

You are quite honestly the most amazing person I've ever met. And your only just two.

You will always have my everlasting, ever loving, love.

❤️
