I'm back!
Well, I haven't posted a new post for about 12 months! I can't believe how quick time flies! I suppose I should fill you in briefly on what you've missed...this will probably take me a while!
Joe and I got engaged on our three year anniversary - 6th February 2012. Almost a year ago now! He proposed in the most romantic/perfect way. He brought home a chocolate thorntons love heart with the words 'Marry Me' written on in icing. He let Aoife pass the bag to me (so she was in on it too) and the rest is history ;) haha! Well I said yes, of course!
(I will add a picture soon)
Aoife got christened on the 26th February 2012, and looked absolutely beautiful. As always. It was a lovely day, just how we wanted!
Aoife and I decided to arrange daddy a surprise 21st birthday party! We booked a bouncy castle and everything was going smoothly...until the bouncy castle showed up late, aswell as a couple of friends. So the surpise was ruined but we still had loads of fun! It was lovely to see Joe act free again, and playful. He works so hard for us so he deserves some fun!
Aoife learnt to crawl at eight months!
Aoife made it into the final top ten of a beautiful baby competition and had to go to London for a photoshoot! She then got to appear in the magazine, which I have kept in her memory box - such a big achievement!
Aoife went to the beach for the first time!
Aoife learnt to walk at 10 and a half months. And she's been a lover of the outdoors ever since!
We visited the zoo for the first time!
Aoife turned ONE! We threw her two birthday parties! One family one with a bouncy castle and BBQ, and one for her friends and gym tots (big play area). I was sooo emotional! Such an incredible year, the best year of our lives.
Celebrated our second Christmas together! And Aoife has started saying little things, such as daddy, hiya, oh dear, muh (mummy). And can understand everything we tell her.
Overall, this has been another wonderful year. I could not ask for a more beautiful family. Yes, times are hard financially. But I wouldn't change a thing. My Joe and Aoife keep my going and keep me happy despite everything, and if you've got that, you've got the world. All I have to do is look at my daughter, and I'm mesmerised by her beauty and happiness, and it makes everything better. And writing this makes me emotional just thinking about how I feel.
Anyway, I'm watching one born every minute and getting seriously broody, so best go before I start rambling!
