Bushy Park
Recently we took a trip to Bushy Park. Its been on my list of places to visit for some time, and when Joe's mum suggested we go, we didn't think twice.
It is now probably one of my most favourite places, and we didn't even get to explore it all!
We went on a cold winters day, which I think added to how wonderful it was. It made it feel very festive and christmassy!
As we drove into Bushy Park, we went past Hampton Court Palace, so we told Aoife & Everly about Henry the 8th, and they loved that.
Parking is free which is amazing. Normally, most places we go too, if its free, it is always quite expensive parking so this was something Joe was very happy about!
One of my main reasons to want to go here was because I heard that deer free roam, and wander about, and I have a thing about seeing deer. I love seeing them but I have ever only really seen them briefly in the woods, and as soon as they see us, they get startled and run off! So I made sure I kept my eyes open to see them!
No more than ten minutes into our walk, we spotted some in the bushes! It was incredible. So close to us and not only that, they had antlers!! This made my day - it just seemed even more magical and christmassy after that. The cold air biting at our noses, wrapped up warm in coats, hats and gloves - perfect!
A cheeky tongue from one of the deer!
Pretty sure he was looking right at me ;)
We saw loads of huge fish swimming in the streams. We even saw parakeets in the trees!
Then as we were walking back, loads of deer had come right up close to the path ways and coming up to people that were walking past. And I'm not going to lie, but it honestly made me so happy and it was one of the best moments ever. Arwen absolutely loved it, they came up right close to her pushchair and I managed to get the cutest video!
The little ones just generally loved running around, climbing on trees, watching the ducks ect. It wasn't until afterwards that we noticed the huge adventure playground - so that will definitely be explored next time we visit!

Before we went home, we went to the cafe which is situated in the car park. This we found quite expensive, but we didn't bring any other food with us so it was a must. We ordered a hot chocolate, three sausage rolls, a can of coke and a muffin and it equalled £16. However, it was very tasty! But we probably pack a picnic next time.
I can't wait to go back already, and spend more time there. Probably when its a bit warmer! I reckon its going to be visited quite a lot next year, if I can persuade Joe!
Looks like a fab day out!
